System for cattle rating
The Czech-Moravian Breeders Corporation, Inc. (ČMSCH) is a service organization providing a wide range of services to livestock breeders in the Czech Republic. Its main activities include animal registration, laser descriptions of ear tags, standard-setting and methodological activities for breeding and milk yield control. ČMSCH approached us with the need to modernize their existing applications. The original mobile application operated on the no longer supported Windows Mobile platform, and the desktop application on the unsupported Windows XP system. Favorlogic developed a new solution including a mobile application for Android and a new web-based information system, helping the client streamline and automate the entire animal evaluation process.

Project Overview
The client faced problems with outdated technologies and devices that were no longer available on the market. They needed to replace a mobile application for Windows Mobile, as this platform was no longer supported. At the same time, the client needed to modernize a desktop application that only worked on the outdated Windows XP system, which could no longer be installed on newer hardware.
Execution
We created a new mobile application for Android that maintains the familiar user interface from the original Windows Mobile application, which the evaluators were accustomed to. This new application is connected to the cloud, eliminating the need for data synchronization via cable with the desktop application. Data is now automatically uploaded to the cloud and is available for further processing immediately. We also developed a new web-based information system that replaced the existing desktop application. This system allows communication with mobile applications and the central registry online, simplifying and speeding up the entire data processing process. The new system also facilitates the export and sending of monthly results to the central registry. Moreover, the system is integrated with other ČMSCH applications, ensuring comprehensive connectivity and efficient data management.
Project Results
By deploying the new Android mobile application and web-based information system, we enabled the client to modernize their animal evaluation process. Evaluators can now process data directly in the field without the need for manual synchronization with the desktop system. This has accelerated and simplified the entire evaluation process and sending results to the central registry. The new system is also easily accessible from various devices, improving flexibility and availability of necessary information.
