ENVISAN-GEM, a.s. is a South Bohemian company operating in waste management — it rents out containers, recycles and disposes of waste, remediates historical contamination and handles environmental emergencies. We developed a web system for them covering the entire sales process, from a customer request to the acceptance of a price quote: the customer submits a request through a public form, a sales rep processes it, builds up to three price variants and sends the customer a PDF quote with a confirmation link.

  • requests by phone and e-mail
  • manual calculations in spreadsheets
  • complex waste price list per legislation
  • no overview of request status

ENVISAN-GEM received waste collection requests by phone and e-mail. For every request, a sales rep had to manually identify the waste types, look them up in the price list, calculate transport from the distance, add handling, weighing and container rental, and write the resulting quote into a document. A calculation took tens of minutes, there was no single overview of the status of each request, and it was not possible to quickly offer the customer several solution variants.

The domain itself is demanding, too. The price list contains more than a hundred waste types with catalogue numbers defined by waste legislation, distinguishes hazardous from non-hazardous waste, and specifies for each type what may and may not go into the container. And the price of a job is not made up of the waste alone — it also depends on distance, vehicle type, container size, the number of trips, handlings and weighings, and the length of the rental.

  • public four-step request form
  • A/B/C quote variants over a shared material pool
  • automatic transport calculation via Mapy.cz
  • PDF quote generation and a customer portal

We built an application that covers the entire process. The customer submits a request through a public form split into four steps — choosing a category and specific waste types, uploading photos of the waste and of the drop-off location, entering an address with autocomplete and the delivery and collection dates. The form is saved as it is filled in, so entered data cannot be lost. After submission, the request receives a readable number in the ENV-2026-000123 format and the sales rep is notified.

Request and quotation system for waste collection

The heart of the administration is building the quote. The sales rep works with a shared pool of materials from the request and distributes them across individual trips — each trip being one vehicle with one container. Materials are moved between trips by dragging, can be merged into a single quote line, and up to three solution variants can be prepared over the same input, differing in the number of containers, their size and the price.

The price is calculated continuously. The system sums up the waste according to the price list, the transport based on the distance it computes via Mapy.cz between the depot and the loading site, container rental, handling, weighing, manual items and discounts. Vehicle, container and material rates are snapshotted into the quote, so a later change of the price list no longer affects quotes already sent.

The sales rep reviews the finished quote in a PDF preview, fills in a covering e-mail from a template and sends it. The customer receives a link to their own quote page, where they download the PDF and accept or reject the quote — the request status changes automatically.

The administrator manages the system independently — setting up the waste catalogue with legislative catalogue numbers, the price list, vehicles and their rates, container types and sections, contract conditions, e-mail templates, and users with sales and administrator roles. The price list can be updated in bulk by importing the Word document the client maintains themselves.

  • in production since July 2026
  • requests, price list and quotes in one place
  • a quote prepared in minutes
  • multiple variants for the customer

The system has been running in production since July 2026 and has already handled more than fifty requests from companies and households across the whole South Bohemian Region. Sales reps have requests, the price list and the quote history in one place, the calculation runs itself, and the customer receives the quote as a PDF with a link where they confirm it. The waste catalogue in the system now holds more than a hundred and twenty waste types.

We continue to work on the application — adding features based on the client's operational experience and running it in production.
